Traditional resources such as the Intelligence Academy’s e-learning system or Controllerate project management systems are no longer hosted on public servers. To access Moodle, OpenProject or other resources, you must connect to the private network RNet using a VPN.

If you do not have access, are locked out of the system or require new credentials, contact the Institute via the encrypted contact form on this site.

This website contains some private pages for members but it does not contain sensitive material that might be considered classified. To gain access to the RNet RESTRICTED network you must use your VPN to access the Institute’s private server. Systems containing material classified CONFIDENTIAL or higher are air-gapped and not available on the internet at all.

RNet is divided by regions, so please connect at the correct location using the electronic certificate provided:

  • The Vienna Connection Point to RNet is a gateway for the Intelligence Academy, training and directing staff, professional volunteers and covert electronic communications throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
  • The Brussels Connection Point to RNet is a gateway for Institute HQ, the Inspectorate, permanent officials and covert electronic communication throughout Western Europe.

Security certificates are issued by the Counterintelligence and Security directorate in Brussels. However, training and instruction on procedure and communications security is only available from the Intelligence Academy in Vienna.
