The membership is a self-organising network of European covert intelligence professionals. It provides the independent support, governance, oversight and accountability mechanisms necessary for intelligence professionalisation.
The Institute's Intelligence Academy prepares candidates for membership. Academy Training and Directing Staff (TDS) provide training in sensitive areas of intelligence not widely available to the general public.
The independent Office of the Inspector-General (OIG) is the last line of appeal for Institute decisions affecting its members. It is the ultimate authority for professional governance and oversight issues.
